Field trip to the Tuolumne-Stanislaus Experimental Forest will be hosted by Research Silviculturist, Eric Knapp of PSW. We plan on viewing treatments in mixed-conifer stands that were based on Eric’s designed to mimic structure of these stands prior to European Settlement. We also hope to just have open discussion on how this might be applicable to the MOTOR project. The plan is to meet at Stanislaus NF Forest Headquarters (Sonora S.O.) Monday, July 22 around 9:30 and on the road by 10:00am. Returning to Sonora STF SO by 4:00 pm. Participants should bring lunch, water, hard hat and whatever else they need for a day in the field.
