Work Groups & Programs

Background

Within the collaborative, Standing Work Groups provide the routine organizational functions of the ACCG. These work groups are currently Planning, Monitoring, Strategic Landscape Assessment, Funding Coordination, and Administration. Scroll down to learn more about work groups and associated programs. Planning

The Planning Work Group reviews, discusses, and makes recommendations for policy and program development, and also designs implementation projects consistent with approved Policies and Principles, prepares project proposals, drafts position papers, assesses opportunities, and may engage in joint fact-finding (e.g., research and analysis, as needed). Monitoring

The Monitoring program is a collaborative multi-party effort to provide ecological, economic, and social monitoring oversight to meet the objectives of the ACCG, and translate the benefits and lessons learned from restoration efforts to future management activities. Landscape Assessment

The Strategic Landscape Assessment Work Group (SLAWG), a subgroup of the Planning WG, coordinates and guides efforts to conduct a landscape-level assessment of the ACCG footprint and develop processes and tools to help advance projects aligned with the ACCG’s all-lands, landscape scale vision and triple bottom line mission. Click here to go the the SLAWG homepage.

 

Funding Coordination

The Funding Coordination Work Group promotes collaboration and partnership in seeking funding in order to maximize the ACCG’s capacity to pursue grants, avoid duplication of effort, and to work toward financial sustainability post-CFLR funding (2012-2021). Administration

The Administration Work Group provides management for executing the policies and decisions of the governance function, assures documentation and management of the organizations’ information and records, manages the balance between the ACCG’s different functions, oversees accountability, develops and manages procedures for the policies and practices of the ACCG.
