Ongoing & Past Projects

Introduction

At the heart of what ACCG does, is to identify, plan, and accomplish projects within the ACCG landscape. See below for a list of ongoing or past projects developed, or supported by, the ACCG. Project proponents seeking ACCG support on a new project are highly encouraged to review all materials in the Project Development and Support Process Package. Contact the ACCG Administrator for assistance.

Forest Projects Plan, Phase 2 (2022-

  • Description: The USFS-UMRWA Forest Projects Plan (Phase 2) intended to be a landscape level forest and watershed health project encompassing national forest lands on both the Eldorado and Stanislaus National Forest within, and extending out from, the Upper Mokelumne Watershed. More information will be available soon through the USFS and UMRWA websites.

Forest Projects Plan, Phase 1 (2021-

  • Description: The USFS-UMRWA Forest Projects Plan (Phase 1) is a landscape level forest, community, and wildlife habitat enhancement and protection project proposing non-commercial mechanical fuel reduction work, manual vegetation treatments, and prescribed burning.

  • In November 2022, the ACCG provided consensus support of the decision and future implementation.

Bear River Grazing Allotment Management Project

The Eldorado National Forest, Amador District Ranger Richard Hopson recently signed a decision to implement the Bear River Grazing Allotment Management Project Environmental Assessment.  This project will authorize continued grazing on the Bear River Allotment.  In addition, allow the issuance of a Special Use Permit to continue the use of the Dufrene Camp facilities in conjunction with grazing management operations.
