We held a successful first zoom meeting with Tuolumne and Calaveras County residents interested in forming a prescribed burn association on July 1st (please see attached notes). We decided to move forward with an in person meeting at Columbia College to check out recent burns and equipment and talk about next steps in forming a prescribed burn association.

Meeting Description:
Prescribed fire is a critical tool for managing working rangelands and forests in the Sierra Nevada. This in person meeting will convene those interested in carrying out burns in Tuolumne and Calaveras counties to learn more about prescribed fire and next steps for forming a prescribed burn association.

Tuolumne or Calaveras county residents interested in:
- Using prescribed fire on their own property
- Working with neighbors to increase the use of prescribed fire in the area
- Finding out more about prescribed burning and prescribed burn association
