The Eldorado National Forest is filling multiple temporary positions for the 2022 fire season. Job announcements close February 7, 2022. Click here to view the flyer. Openings are available at the GS-3, GS-4 and GS-5 levels. These temporary positions have a maximum six (6) month work schedule. The anticipated start date for these positions is mid-June 2022. Hours usually consist of a 40-hour work week, positions may require work on weekends. Work is physically demanding and if assigned to an incident, commitment time away from home could be as long as 21 days long and 16-hour workdays in adverse weather conditions.
