BLM Headquarters and BLM California State Office are establishing a national team of specialists to address one of the West’s biggest land management issues — salvage sales and forest health management. The team will be deployed to wildland fire, insect/disease, and other tree mortality events to implement salvage projects within forest and woodlands on BLM-managed lands.
The National Salvage Implementation Team will be stationed in Sacramento, CAlifornia and will work in BLM managed forests throughout the Western States. The work is critically important for the BLM to achieve its goals, to help protect the safety of the American public, and to improve forest health.
