Greetings ACCG,

I’m excited to be able to share that the ACCG’s Strategic Landscape Assessment Work Group (SLAWG) is following up their December 2019 workshop and subsequent endeavors to develop a project inventory and landscape prioritization tool with a two-part e-workshop series this November and December. The workshops will provide participants with a thorough understanding of the Project Inventory & Landscape Prioritization Tool developed by Megan Layhee (GIS Consultant, Landmark Environmental/UMRWA) and the SLAWG, and also provide an opportunity for participants to provide feedback and suggestions on the products.
Please note that folks are highly encouraged to attend Part I of the workshop, which will be held on Nov. 19th and then repeated on Dec. 3rd (for those that can’t attend the Nov. 19th workshop), and will provide an in-depth overview of the Mapper and Tool, including how it was developed and its intended application. Part II of the workshop on Dec. 11th, is optional and is geared toward individuals who want to gain an in-depth understanding of the GIS processes involved in the development, maintenance and upkeep of the products.
Note: Access to ArcGIS software is not required to participate in this zoom workshop. Also, a draft how-to handbook will be provided prior to the e-workshops for participants to follow along with during the e-workshop.

E-Workshop Series Schedule:
  • Part I – Thurs., 11/19 10 am – 3 pm (1-hr break from 12-1pm)
  • Part I – Thurs., 12/3 10 am – 3 pm (1-hr break from 12-1pm) (repeat workshop – if you participate in the 11/19 e-workshop, you don’t need to attend this one)
  • Part II – Fri., 12/11 10 am – 3 pm (1-hr break from 12-1pm)
Please see the attached workshop agendas for additional information.  To register for the workshops, email Megan Layhee
Best regards,
